If you want to use hydrogen (or any other cleaning agent to dissolve tattoo ink) to fade the permanent marker, it’s best to use water in the solution and not bleach. The hydrogen will be released in the urine and water (and it contains hydrogen peroxide, which you can use) will kill the tattoo ink. Bleach can destroy the dye, and causes the ink to dry to a dull gray.
If you want to do it yourself, you’ll need to buy a small vial of hydrogen peroxide. Be sure to follow this recipe:
Put hydrogen peroxide in 6 drops warm water. Cover with paper towels and let it sit for about three hours or until it’s completely dissolved – it won’t be a perfect solution. Add the ink, let soak for a minute or two, and then rinse with cool water.
Do not heat to boiling. You want to allow the hydrogen peroxide to dissolve before using the ink.
