How tall is Jesse Smith? – Smart Tattoo Designs

In 2016 you weighed in at 5’8”.

Jesse Smith may have had the best year of his professional career. After being waived by the Miami Dolphins prior to the 2015 season, he found his way to the Green Bay Packers.

In 2015, Smith went from an undrafted free agent to becoming a key contributor on the defense. After a solid rookie year in which he totaled 53 tackles, 15 passes defensed, and 7 sacks, he signed a 4-year deal with the Packers worth $10.5 million in 2016. In his first year with the Packers, Smith was a team leader in tackles.

On the offensive side of the ball, his production continued to grow. After catching his first professional pass in 2013 prior to the start of the 2013 season, Jesse has made big plays in the red zone. In two games that season, Jesse recorded seven receptions for 83 yards and two touchdowns. During Smith’s second season with the Packers, his production grew even further. Smith caught 12 passes for 167 yards and three touchdowns in the 2014 regular season. On two other occasions that season, he broke a 53-yard, 2-pt. run or pass tackle.

Jesse, however, is most known for his work within the Packers offensive line. In 2015, that group put together a stellar year. They won the NFL playoff championship defeating the Denver Broncos on their way to the team’s first Super Bowl appearance since 1992.

2015 started off quite well as Jesse Smith was named the Pro Bowl defensive lineman of the year. However, the offense was also dominant in the first half of the season. On the season, the Packers led the NFL in scoring with 91.5 points. The Packers offense, especially the running game, was also quite dominant. The Packers finished the season averaging 28.2 points per game.

The 2016 season with Aaron Rodgers, Randall Cobb, and James Starks is certainly a breakout year for the line. As a whole, the running game has taken off as Aaron’s ability to draw defenders and make big plays. It also allows him to extend plays deep. Although the running game has been strong for a few weeks, it is only the beginning of season with the Packers.
