How much weight can they lose in a week? How can you get the most out of this and enjoy it on an everyday basis?
There are no easy answers to these questions. You need to be open, approachable and very knowledgeable about body composition at this stage of the pole dance journey. I’d recommend you do the following before starting a training program for pole dancing:
Know Your Motivation
Before you begin anything, know your motivation for this activity. This is the most fundamental thing a pole dancer knows so don’t skip this.
Do you want to make friends? Do you want to dance competitions? Are you just interested in the physical aspects of the art?
Don’t forget about self-esteem. Don’t be embarrassed or ashamed of your body. Remember it’s part of who you are (the “you” in your identity), and it’s part of the reason you choose to become a pole dancer because it inspires you to get out there and get in that dance!
Know Your Skills
You don’t have to be a world-class dancer to participate in the pole dance world, but knowing your skills will make you more of a capable person. For instance, you can do a great job as a dancer moving in sync and maintaining a balanced dance, but you need to also know how to make movements for the audience. You’ll want to practice this the least.
Know Your Limits
This part probably isn’t really for you to talk about, but it’s vitally important to your overall health as well as the health of your dance partners. Most people think they know the pole as well or better than everyone else, but there is only so much you can really take into consideration.
When you move with the “right” skill and your partner (on a pole) is comfortable with it, it creates more of an impact and a deeper connection. Remember, there is no right move or wrong move, and it just takes practice and a little trial and error.
Know Your Body
You can be an amazing dancer, but if your body isn’t as strong as it can be, it’s going to be harder with a pole! If you’re still not sure about whether this activity is ideal for you, be honest and ask yourself some questions.
This could be: what will it feel like to have a strong butt, or to have a big booty? Will it be uncomfortable if your feet are touching the floor, or
