Do you have any advice for folks trying to learn to draw that would help them. Is painting easier than drawing?

I learned a lot from this. For example, this is the way to draw a man:
The way you see his arms and legs is very different from this. I actually had this conversation with my dad when we were kids, which is why I still have a hard time imagining a man’s arms.
So the arms and legs are different, and they’re all over the place. Now for the face:
And the arms are even more over the place than the legs. And the mouth is just so wide.
And I don’t know about you, but if I were to draw this face in a book, I’d have the guy with the wide open mouth the hero. And the guy with the huge arms the villain. And the guy with the wide, wide chin the hero. And the guy with a little nose and a big nose the villain and the hero.
Of course, no one really writes them in the book, but you’re right about all of that. I’ve seen so many of these things. I don’t want to read one more book that only talks about the hero’s face and chest and limbs.
