The basic idea behind a video is to sell it and create revenue.
This is really an art in itself, as long as you are in the business.
To make it really fun (in a good way) let’s set a few goals.
1. Set goals, then make a video that meets your goal.
It’s a win-win, and you can build it right up to the start.
Here’s a list of some of the goals I set and how I used them.
Target your customers to an audience that is already in the market. This is one of the hardest things to do, but it will always add value.
It might only be 5 emails out of a pool of 100, the results will be the same.
What are you looking to make revenue with?
What do you want to make money with in your video?
To get a good general idea of your target audience, and what you are looking to make, go out and Google it.
Target audience video is one of the most difficult to do. You will need to make some changes in your content, use video tools like Vimeo and YouTube to increase the reach of your email, get in touch to make things happen.
Don’t let this one trick you.
2. Build a video marketing plan, then develop a video.
You need a plan, and a plan alone doesn’t add anything.
You need to have a plan so you know what you are going to add in the video. It only gets more difficult to build a plan if you don’t talk about things like time and budget with your video marketing partners.
You need to know what you are going to do in, and what you can’t make in the video.
So be prepared, the next thing you will do will be the most critical aspect of your video marketing strategy.
3. Create a marketing strategy, then develop a video
You need a strategy. When in your video marketing plan, what are you adding to the video?
Why should I watch my video? What is the value? How will viewing my video help me? How can I maximize this video? Will I learn something in my video? What can I bring in the video to my ecommerce business?
So you have a plan, you have a marketing plan, now you need a strategy.
