We’re going to discuss the basics of what a beard looks like (as seen through my own own example), some of the differences people have within the style, and some of the cultural norms that come into play while we’re talking about beard styles.

The Basics – What is a Beard?

The name “beard” comes from the French, and when you think about it, that doesn’t make much sense. A beard is a long, straight, uncut hair that comes between the neck and the torso.
